This weekend mom and I watched The Last Place on Earth, a miniseries about Scott and Amundsen's race to the South Pole (it's been on my list, but for some reason haven't watched it until now :P). Hugh Grant played Cherry!

I just finished With Scott: The Silver Lining by Griffith Taylor, and it was so much fun! Most of the expedition sounded like a huge party haha..so many things made me smile. :D They were such great guys. <3 Here are some excerpts from the book!

Yesterday mom and I went with grandma and Jack to a retirement home..Jack's granddaughter and her husband, great granddaughter and great-great granddaughter met us there. This was started because grandma got sick on Christmas and went to the hospital, and neither of them are doing well in the house they're in (it's really upsetting to see Jack ( Read more... )

I'm not sure where this bout of creativity came from, but all of a sudden I was composing alternate lyrics to Jingle Bells, Antarctica style haha. I had to write it down before it left me..they may not be the best lyrics in the world, but I think it's pretty awesome :P ( Read more... )
